Sock Panda Review

Sometimes you need a fun gift for a quirky friends birthday or your aunt, or maybe you just really are an aficionado of fun socks; SockPanda may be for you!  I am not a fan of socks... at all, unless they are cute and these definitely have caught my attention as one of the most unique monthly subscriptions I have ever seen!
No longer will socks be considered the necessary boring gift from the well meaning aunt when you consider all the fun prints and brands Sock Panda carries!
I received 2 pair, one from the bold category, and one from the cool category. I am going to assume the black polka dots are the "bold" ones, though if you ask me they are both pretty fun!
The first thing you notice when you get the package is how adorable it is! The envelope has little socks all over it. The fact that it says "HOORAY!" on it doesn't hurt at all either.
The black pair are from Happy Socks. I absolutely love the fun polka dot pattern! These are actually made of a combed cotton. That essentially means the fibers are combed before they are spun causing all the shorter fibers to be removed; leaving behind all the longer, stronger ones that are then woven on Italian Lonati machines, famous for their precision.

The tan socks are from K.Bell. They don't go as high up the calf as the other pair does but they are still pretty cute nonetheless.
They are 60% cotton, 38% Polyester and 2% Spandex so they fit really nicely and are still comfortable. I love the colourful feather pattern. It's bright and funky but the base colour is still pretty subdued so you can have a blast matching them...or not!

If you want to sign up to receive some of the most awesome socks ever every month it will run you $11 a month per pair, and that includes tax and shipping. Not too shabby considering the price of the Happy Socks alone were $12! If you have any questions you can check out their FAQs page. I can honestly say that I believe Sock Panda has officially made socks the coolest gift you will get!
If you would like to learn more be sure to check out their website or you can find them on Facebook, and Twitter.

Ozeri WeightMASTER Microban® Digital Bathroom Scale Review

Weight management is hard. When you are trying to live a healthier life, and manage your weight, sometimes anything that makes that process easier is a huge help. Finding a reliable scale that not only makes it easy to weigh yourself, but also has an easy readout, and prevents the growth of stain and odor causing bacteria should be a staple in everyone's home who is looking for an easy solution to weight management.
You may not have ever considered how dirty a scale can be when it sits on a bathroom floor 24/7, but the WeightMASTER actually has Microban® technology infused at the point of manufacturing. Microban® antimicrobial protection works for the lifetime of the product to stop the growth of, and helps keep the surface free of bacteria.
On an unprotected bathroom scale surface, bacteria can double in number
every twenty minutes with frequent skin contact and exposure to moisture, which is often the case with typical bath scale usage. And only when they've multiplied to hundreds of thousands, can the bacteria be seen by the naked eye.*
Some of the other great features of this scale is the step-on technology. How many times have you struggled with tapping a scale, waiting for it to turn on, then stepping on it to get an error? This can't just have happened to me, right? This scale is guaranteed to turn on and start to measure your weight as soon as you step on.
The huge blue-lit  LCD screen is fantastic for me because the numbers are large and easy to see so I'm not struggling with my terrible eyesight to figure out what it says.
The feet on the bottom of the scale have a really great no slip rubber to prevent it from moving around and has ABS slip-resistant material on the outside with 6mm impact-resistant tempered glass on the inside to make this one fantastic scale all around. The scale itself will weigh in pounds, kilograms and stones with the press of a tiny little button on the scale. Most scales don't go up to 300lbs but this one actually maxes out at about 330lbs/150kg/24st, but it also rounds to the nearest 100 grams.
Although you obviously need to place it on a hard, flat surface I sat the Dex-Man on it on carpet since he was so interested; it appeared to be about 1lb off with an unstable surface (either that or Dexter is becoming a chunky monkey). He took one look at it and refused to get back on it again after that, I guess he was self conscious about his weight (it's okay to giggle at the absurdity of that because we have all been there; just not in dog-form).
It really is a fantastic scale. I can honestly say with the slim, black, no nonsense design and the large readout with the blue back lit LCD, it's a great way to add a little style and function to your everyday routine.

Wholesale Costume Club-Dog Yoda Costume Review

Sometimes Dexter actually enjoys wearing clothes when he is cold and the occasional costume. He has amassed quite an arsenal of costumes; a hot dog, and a bumble bee just to name a few. I have heard so many comments about how he looks like Chewbacca, or an Ewok, Yoda or even Darth Vader depending on his haircut. For the longest time I have been trying to get my hands on a different Stars Wars costume for each of these characters because he is a total goof and I bet he would have a ton of fun with all the attention.
I had the opportunity to get the Star Wars Yoda Dog Pet Costume from Wholesale Costume Club and I have been laughing hysterically since. I have seen versions of this costume before on pugs and it never fails to make me laugh.
They have a fantastic selection but I decided I needed to get something for Dexter instead of myself and I don't think this could have come at a better time with May 4th rapidly approaching!
The costume is made of Polyester and is 2 pieces, a jumpsuit and a hat with ears attached. The jumpsuit covers the front legs, and velcros around the neck. There is also an attached hood and extra fabric to make it appear as if he has a cloak on.
The costume itself it really well made but the biggest issue I see with it is the sizing, which is no fault of theirs. The packaging states that a small is supposed to fit a dog Dexter's size when in reality a small fits more like a medium. I can only assume that would mean the other sizes run large as well. It's an easy fix for me though as I can just take it in slightly and it will fit perfectly, but you can tell from the photo the jumpsuit would be better suited on a taller dog. The velcro as well around the neck was a few inches too large and the elastic around the head piece is long as well. All easy fixes but if you check out the photos below you can tell. If you have a larger dog just keep in mind you have about 4-6" of extra room to play with around the velcro neck but the length itself isn't really intended for dogs with short legs.
I love everything about the costume itself; though he is unable to walk in it until I adjust it to fit him perfectly it is really great for taking photos until then!
If you are on the lookout for a costume for your dog, yourself, or your children they may have exactly what you are looking for; whether it be for Halloween, a costume party, a Star Wars Day party, or you are in need of a mascot costume, they have a little bit of everything!
If you look closely it looks like he is trying to use the force to make me give him a treat.

In the year 1845, before the mystical land of Fallada was separated from the realm of men forever, the two worlds coexisted in harmony. Man could mingle freely in the world of the Elves and Faeries at will and peace reigned.

In the hills of Shropshire, England, just miles from the gate separating the village of Ludlow from the world of mystical creatures, farmer’s daughter Zara Wells longs for answers. It is not only the golden hair that trail feet behind her, or the strange hue of her violet eyes that separates her from the other girls her village. There is something inside of her, something touched by magic that longs to know more about what lies on the other side of the gate.

In Fallada, darkness has begun to spread. As the youngest and most beautiful girls of her village begin to disappear, Zara comes closer to discovering the true circumstances surrounding her birth. Little does she know, that the closer she comes to the answers she so desperately desires, the closer she will come to being ensnared in the dark queen’s web of growing treachery.

RhondaShear Pin-Up Girl Collection Review

Sometimes a lady needs something fun to make her feel extra girly. What better way to do that than with lace and glitter?
The Pin-Up Girl collection by Rhonda Shear is on point with the pin-up/high waist trend that has come back to the fashion industry, because what is fashion, if not cyclical? It comes in at least 9 colours, and the shade I have is Emerald. The "Pin-Up Girl" Metallic Lace Leisure Bra has floral lace on the V-shaped neckline as well as on the underbust. This bra was definitely made for comfort with full coverage cups, with light padding and wide supportive straps. The straps themselves are not adjustable but the back does have adjustable hook and eye closures. The material is 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex so it has some stretch for a better fit. What I really love about it is the little bow detail on the V-shaped neckline and the glittery gold accent in the lace.
The "Pin-Up Girl" Metallic Lace Control Panty is a matching bottom with full elastic waistband and a front lace panel for light tummy control in the same glittery gold floral lace as the matching bra. The high waist and tag length leg really give you that Pin-Up look of being curvy and covered but still feminine. I love that the glittery lace detail continues down around the bottom hem of the legs as well. The back of the panties have a back shaping seam with ruching to give the appearance of a little extra lift. The material is the same 90% Nylon 10%, Spandex mix for extra stretch and the best part about all of it is both the top and bottoms are machine washable.
Another thing I received was an adorable pink reusable tote with a Woman's Advantage 2013 shared wisdom calendar and a duo pen with a pink highlighter.
The calendar is a tear away calendar with really great advice from women business owners, for women business owners. Paired with the pen/highlighter duo you can make notes on your calendar or highlight something on it that is important on that day. Another great feature is the kickstand so you can sit it upright on your desk or you can choose to hang it up on a hook on your wall. What a cute addition!
The last item, not shown was a huge catalog with glossy pages and great photos but you can actually view that on their website HERE. They have a digital copy that you can actually flip through the pages of on their website which is a really neat feature.
If you would like to see more you can check out the website or you can find them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

PicturesOnGold.com Mother's Day Locket Review and Giveaway

Listen up MEN! Let's get real. Finding the right gift sometimes without the proper hints can be a difficult task. Ladies get it! We drop hints, sometimes not so subtle, but also sometimes there are things we don't KNOW we need want.
Mother's Day is just around the corner and maybe the women in your life haven't asked for anything specific but are looking to be wowed by your initiative. Mother's Day isn't just for your own mother anymore. People like to celebrate and appreciate their mother, their grandmother, their wives, their sisters, any female in their lives that they care about that embodies motherhood.
Pictures On Gold has come out with an amazing gift any woman would love. I personally am not a jewelry person and I swooned when I seen this beauty! Mother's Day Jewelry is always a good idea.
The Sterling Silver Mother’s Day Photo Locket, "Mom with Children Heart" along with an 18 inch Sterling Silver Box Chain is absolutely GORGEOUS! This particular locket comes with two photo laser etchings in colour or black & white inside. The front of the locket has a beautiful engraved photo and the back can be customized with engraved text.
Not only is this photo pendant amazingly beautiful, it comes in an equally beautiful box for the perfect presentation!
The heavy outer box is an inconspicuous black box with the Pictures On Gold Logo on the lid. Inside is a beautiful black velvet hinged box with a black bow. The inside is super soft foam that perfectly protects your investment and displays your locket perfectly.
I absolutely love the way the images look etched on the inside of the locket. They carefully removed all the unnecessary background from the photos so nothing would distract from the subjects inside. The engraving on the front is stunning and looks great from all angles. I also really love the box chain as that is not something you typically see, so it is a welcome change.
All in all it's a beautiful piece that any woman would probably love to receive as a gift which makes it an easy no brainer for the men who are out shopping this year for the ladies in their life for Mother's Day!

Now for the fun part! You have the chance to win one of these for the ladies in your life that mean the world to you! Ozeri Serafino Double Wall Thermo Glasses Review

I can honestly say, I am weird. I will proudly admit to being weird. I'm weird because I love cups, and glasses, and mugs...etc. You get the point, right?  When I seen these glasses from Ozeri I fell in love! I am a huge fan of glasses that can be used for hot or cold drinks. I am obsessed with these because, whether the drink is hot or cold, you won't burn your hand and the cup won't condensate.
The Serafino Double Wall Thermo Glasses are made of mouth-blown shatter-resistant borosilicate glass. What is really interesting about them is that not only can you use them for hot or cold drinks but they are dishwasher, freezer, microwave and oven safe! How often can you say you have a glass that you can do that with?

A really great feature of these glasses is the wraparound contour so you can easily grip your glass. They feel very lightweight but also very sturdy. I am almost completely perplexed by the idea that these are glass because they almost have a plastic quality to them, until you accidentally hit them and you realize they ARE indeed glass.
What is fantastic about these in particular is they would make a really great gift as well! They come in a set of four. This particular set is the 8 oz. set but you can also get them in a unique shaped 8 oz set and a 12 oz set. They would be a great gift for someone who has a bar in their home, or as a nice housewarming gift or for someone like me who just enjoys multi-functional glassware!
If you like what you see here don't forget to check out some of the other reviews I have completed for Ozeri! You can read the review of the Green Earth Pan HERE and the Cardiotech Blood Pressure Monitor HERE, or you can check Ozeri out on Facebook.

Mlle Gabrielle Skirt from Alight-Review and Giveaway

Sometimes when you need something cute and different the best place to look is online. I swear I could online shop for hours! So when I am on the look out for plus size clothing, alight is a good place to start!
I'm not sure if Winter got the memo that it is indeed time for Spring, but it is just around the corner! So soon it will be time to break out the skirts, dresses, sandals and short sleeves.
I am all about switching it up when it comes to my clothes. Sometimes I like to wear t-shirts and sometimes I like to wear dresses, and then other times I just hang out in pajamas all day. When I look for skirts though, I like long, flowy skirts with tons of volume, or some kind of fun detail, and I really liked the shape of this Mlle Gabrielle skirt.
The skirt, from the new line to be released in May, is 100% cotton with a 100% polyester lining so the skirt has a really great flowy feel to it, and with the lining you don't have to worry about it showing anything. The skirt itself has exposed finished seams on the pieced together side panels to give the skirt a little something extra, but sadly this detail is lost in the print of the skirt.
The print is a really pretty almost navy blue shade, with flowers and when you look at it up close you can see it has almost a grid-like pattern of yellow and black going through the whole thing, this gives the close up view of the skirt almost a digital pattern. Personally the print as a whole is a little busy for me with all the details but overall is still a great piece.
Is this not the CUTEST?!
Swing Shift Dress
by Blue Plate
The length of the skirt I am assuming is supposed to hit between the knee and mid calf but I am on the crazy-short side so it is a touch long for me but still looks nice on, and the elastic waist is really comfortable. I think it would look really nice paired with a simple white top and some great sandals, or a cute pair of wedges.
If skirts aren't your thing they also have a great selection of tops, pants, and plus size dresses
If you like what you see so far then you are going to like what you are about to see! Alight is offering my readers the opportunity to win a surprise item of their choice in your size!
Just complete the entries below on the Rafflecopter form and come back daily to complete daily tasks!

April PawBox Review

If you have been here a while you may have seen my previous PawBox reviews. If not and you want to see those, you can click HERE, or HERE.
When I brought the mail in I hadn't noticed that I had a PawBox but you better believe Dexter realized it was there. I for the life of me couldn't figure out why he was jumping on me like a maniac, but after I realized what it was I was probably just as excited as he was!
The very first thing I pulled out of the box was the toy, and it lasted in my hands all of 2 seconds and I had to tear it away from him to get a picture. He was instantly excited and went to town on the squeaker. I love the fuzzy texture as it's unlike anything he has currently, and we had a blast playing with it.
The next item that came out of the box was the All Natural NutraBar. The serving suggestion says to break it up and crumble it over his food. I think if he was allowed, Dex would probably just wrap his paws around it and nom on it. I love all the vitamins and minerals and good things in it and I am excited to try it out on a day when Dex is acting a little less picky.
The BarkBars Carob Cookie bar came out next and it was adorable that it looked like his very own little chocolate bar. (contains no chocolate!) The texture is like a harder biscuit treat and I needed to break it up for Dex but he gnawed on it and seemed to really like it.
The next item was 2 sample packs of a chewable calming vitamin with chamomile, Valerian, and Lavender from GreenDog Naturals. I think if this is something Dex would use and it would work for him, it would be great for his anxiety. It has a natural chicken flavor and is made with pumpkin, organic herbs and oatmeal so it looks great, so I am interested in seeing what the fuzzball has to "say" about this.
Last but not least they box contained some great coupons and information for the Green Dog naturals and a really fantastic door/window sticker to alert others in the case of an emergency to make sure to save my pet!
I absolutely loved this months box and I think Dex did too! If you are interested in checking out a PawBox for yourself! Don't forget to check them out on Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube!

PSCPets Joint Support for Dogs Review

Dexter may be small but we were informed by the vet that he has hip issues. Simple solution was to give him Glucosamine and Chondroitin to help make sure his hips and joints where lubricated so there would be less stress on them.
That's where PSCPets Joint Support comes in! Dexter is weird about treats sometimes so he was hesitant at first with these. Turns out he actually had no issues with them whatsoever which is fantastic because if he knew these were medicine that would be the end of it.
I love that they are chewy and soft for him so he doesn't have an issue with choking on them. They almost look like tiny brownie rounds that smell like blueberries with a similar consistency to brownies.
If you are not sure what Glucosamine and Chondroitin are allow me to explain.
Glucosamine is a natural substance found in your pet's body, with the highest concentration found in healthy cartilage. The glucosamine in your dog's body produces glycosaminoglycan, which is used to help form and repair body tissues such as cartilage.
Chondroitin is usually used in conjunction with glucosamine because it is thought to increase the efficacy of the glucosamine.
Dexter has an issue with his hip popping out of place and grinding and the combination of the two is supposed to help lubricate his joints so they are less likely to do this and cause discomfort as well as much larger issues in the future.
Another great aspect of the PSCPets Joint Health is they have a ton of other vitamins and minerals that are great for your dog like Manganese and Vitamin E.
Dex loves when I give him one every morning. He makes me sit it at his feet and then waits for me to tell him to pick it up and take it to his bed. Then he snaps down and grabs it in his mouth and bolts through the apartment to his bed. It really is quite hilarious, and because he does this, it is the only reason I do not have a photo of him enjoying it. He is literally too fast.
These are definitely a hit with the furry nerd monster!
Don't forget to check out the ProbioticSmart website to see what else they have available!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

BetterThanPants.com Review

Sometimes you need a sassy shirt that is so awesome pants need not apply. BetterThanPants is an awesome website where you can search through their shirt designs and choose the colour you want.
It's really awesome when you can customize your shirts to fit your style. Not everyone wants a standard black shirt, or a simple white shirt, so having the option to choose is perfect.
Here's a little story to tickle your funny bone. I'm not tall, by any means. My brother calls me Gator-Arms, so I sympathize with the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The T-Rex shirt is a great way to accept my inability to reach things on the high shelves and to also share a smile with someone who may end up seeing it.
The Classically Trained shirt is the perfect addition to any nerds wardrobe or even a child born in the 80's or early 90's. I was a huge Nintendo fan back in the day; though I may have graduated to newer games, I was still classically trained on that ever familiar rectangle controller.
Though this particular style had less choices colour-wise, I don't feel it was lacking at all because I absolutely loved this shade of blue.
BetterThanPants has a great selection from 80's, 90's, Zombie, Nerd, Funny, Tv and movies and even some hilariously inappropriate shirts. It really is difficult trying to choose but with prices ranging from $9.99 and up it's not so bad if you end up choosing more than one.
Printed on Gildan Ultra Cotton shirts, they are super comfy and don't feel like they would disintegrate in the wash. The print itself is really nice silk screen print. The T-Rex, being a solid single colour, appears to be more solid than the Classically Trained shirt. Though cracks only really show on the Classically Trained shirt when you add a LOT of stress to the image. I wore it to bed and didn't have an issue with the print splitting or rubbing off, but I don't know just yet how they hold up in the wash.
All in all these are fantastic shirts, the quality is awesome and I am thrilled with my choices. It's going to be difficult for me to restrain myself from buying all the shirts I wanted.

Candy Galaxy Rock Candy Review

Is there really anything better than good old fashioned nostalgia? If you could be transported back in time to your childhood through a candy this is definitely one that would do the trick!
There really isn't much better than rock candy. It is literally one of the most simple things on the planet but it never fails how a kids eyes light up when they see the sugar crystals in bright colours on a stick. I used to adore rock candy when I was little and even though I haven't had it in years it still brings back memories of the first time I had it.
Rock candy isn't just for kids! It is a great way to add that little something extra to a birthday party or baby shower! The Blue Cotton Candy and the Bubblegum Pink Rock candy flavors I tried would be perfect for a baby shower, or announcement party, or even just as a great gift to give to someone for spring!
What I love about the Cotton Candy is it is perfectly sweet and has that light cotton candy flavor, and the Bubblegum is just as fantastic. If I had to choose though, I would say I love the Cotton Candy more!
I love that it isn't break your teeth hard and the little crystals fall off in small chunks as you go, but doesn't crumble to pieces when you take it out of the package.
The sticks that hold the candy are actually pretty sturdy so there's less chance of them breaking while you are enjoying the candy and I literally love everything about them!
The rock candy is available in many other flavors and sizes and each one is individually wrapped so they make great gifts.
If rock candy isn't your thing, Candy Galaxy has tons of different options from retro to new and are recognized as the premier source for purchasing candy online. Whether you are looking for candy in bulk or just searching for something as a gift for that special someone they have it all. Don't forget to check out their selection on their website and follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

OraPup Review

The makers of the OraBrush has come out with a fantastic way to keep my dogs breath smelling a little less like, well, dog breath! If you don't know what the OraBrush is then you need to check it out! It is an amazing tongue cleaner that actually helps clean up the bacteria on the tongue that causes bad breath.
The OraPup is the brand new version invented for dogs! The shape of the handle, combined with the Lickies flavor pack, works with dogs natural tendencies to lick. It's covered in soft bristles and ridges help to deep clean the tongue.

What I love about the OraPup is there is absolutely no fighting Dexter to let me brush his teeth, or to get him to use it. He is in a constant state of the nastiest breath ever and this actually works to make his breath smell better!
Dexter loved the Lickies and wanted it the instant I opened the bottle which means I knew he was in for the long haul when I put it on the OraPup brush. At the point I was getting ready to put it away he jumped up and dug his claws in and tried to muscle it away from me so he could continue to lick it. I'm so glad I got a picture of that, because it was hilarious.
If you look closely you will notice the ridges in
the brush as well as the beady eyes of a dog
that is angry because I took it away.
I love that the brushes not only have the bristles but also tongue scraper ridges placed through-out the OraPup brush to really get a better clean on their tongue.
The best part about the OraPup though is when you buy one they send you 2 OraBrushes for yourself!
I have honestly never experienced something that cleaned up Dexter's bad breath so easily that was also safe to use on a daily basis. Even after using the Lickies his breath didn't really smell like gravy or anything at all. It is beyond surprising how awesome this has turned out to be!
