StudioGear Makeup Review

Beauty lovers rejoice because I found some really fun things from a really great brand! If you are new to my beauty world then gather around closely and let me share some new products with you that you may like to try as well.

If you have ever heard of Studio Gear Cosmetics before then why did you keep this a secret from me? I recently ran across the brand and I love what I have seen so far. I had the opportunity to test three products and I love them to pieces!
My ongoing battle with foundation and concealers has kept me from finding a happy medium anywhere. With my excessively dry skin, and now that I am getting a little older, fine lines (EEK!) I have struggled with finding something that works with my skintone, texture and makes me happy with the results. This made me a little skeptical of the Hidden Agenda Concealer. It comes in five shades so I chose light and hoped for the best and was pleasantly surprised that it matched my skintone. It also contains Vitamin K to help correct dark circles and flaws.
The concealer is a really nice creamy texture that grabs onto the skin and covers really well. I blended it in with a tiny round top buffing brush from Real Techniques and it applied perfectly. I decided to skip foundation and powder just to see how this held up. I did have some slight issues with it settling into fine lines around my mouth, but everywhere else it held up nicely. I think with a primer or setting with a powder it would be absolutely perfect. Officially my new favorite concealer ever!
The next product I tried was the Cake Eyeliner in Black. This liner can be
used dry for a smoky mysterious look or used wet that dries matte for a dramatic defined line. I used it dry and loved how it gave a subtle smoky effect to my lash line but still didn't budge after a few hours of wear. If black isn't your thing it also comes in brown and forest green!
The last product I tried was one of their lipsticks. I chose the Glaze lipstick in Paprika. They have other formulas such as veils, mattes, and frosts among others. I really loved the packaging of the lipstick as it was that black rubberized material that is super smooth and luxe. The liner and concealer had a hard plastic containers which were nice but this was beautiful.
The lipstick itself was a red/orange with  gold shimmer in it. I was hoping it would have been more orange but it was a nice colour and the gold shimmer wasn't chunky or gritty. The texture of the lipstick was very smooth and not dry or sticky but the downside is it had little staying power and after a few hours of wear doing literally nothing, no eating or drinking, it had smudged. I suggest blotting and setting with a powder then applying another light layer or add a liner for some more staying power. I would absolutely LOVE to try the Matte lipstick but I am not brave enough to pull off that gorgeous bright red as much as I would like to think I could. Maybe one day!

    1. Thanky! And I need to try the eyeliner wet still. I never know what will irritate my eyes and luckily this didn't when it was dry so I was super excited!
