Greenies Review January

It's that time of year where you make changes in your life for the better, why does this have to stop at just you? Include your pets in your New Year's resolutions and start them on a healthier diet or take them on more walks or even do something as simple as switching them to a treat that is good for their teeth.
I won't even lie, Dexter's breath is rank. I don't know how it gets to be as gross as it is sometimes, dogs just seem to have that natural ability. One thing never changes though and that is he hates having his teeth brushed. This dog acts like I'm trying to steal his soul through his mouth with my magic brushy wand. So it's always been something I wanted to help him with. I've tried, liquids, sprays, tongue brushes and I have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't. Why not give him a treat that helps with his teeth and breath?
The Greenies treats fights tartar buildup, fights plaque, freshens breath, maintains healthy teeth and gums and naturally helps clean the teeth. I was surprised that they smelled almost minty and very green, nothing about them smelled gross at all. I am not typically thrilled to give Dexter something that I don't like the smell of, because then I get a close up kissy face full of the leftovers on him breath.
I loved that Dex took right to them with little to no issues. He didn't run around like a maniac for an hour crying because he couldn't swallow it whole. I was very surprised to see him chew it, but I was so happy that he did.
His breath wasn't nearly as pungent afterwards which really blew my mind and I was very glad to see something as simple as a treat could do this for him.
With Pet Dental Health next month in February, I have already gotten a good start on getting Dexter into some good habits for the year and I couldn't be happier. He loves the treats and I love that they are easy to digest, low in calories and fat and the #1 vet recommended dental chew.

  1. Dexter sure does love his treats from Chewy! My dogs always do too. ♥

    1. Putting Dexter in a setting where he is surrounded by treats is a disaster waiting to happen. I brought him into a pet store once to buy him some toys and treats and I haven't brought him in once since. lol. He is the cookie monster of Chewy. =)

  2. Dexter is seriously a cutie pie. My poodle, Annie, loves Greenies. They are like crack for dog to her. If she is a good girl, then she gets one every day. Okay, even if she has been bad, she looks to cute to deny her her daily Greenie.

    1. Dexter knows how to pout until he gets whatever he wants and I fall for it every time! lol
